The game is not labeled a Demo/Preview/Beta, so many newcomers who just saw the game as a new free release on their store download the game and wonder why they cannot choose any of the additional modes on the main menu.It can be turned off by the player, but should be off by default. Players have in the default setting a cursor under them that shows which direction the current input is (like you usually have when your input is via touchscreen). This in general is not a bad thing, but a LOT of ingame screens and icons are clearly made for touchscreens. The game-development was heavily influenced by the mobile version, which ran on Unreal4 since 2019.Cross-play across consoles/PC in a future update should finally mitigate the lower playerbase compared to FIFA, so people can easily find other players for matches.Announced changes to the upcoming Creative Mode are promising, seemingly allowing players to get their choice of players more easily, without having to rely too much on Gacha-stuff.Dribbling seems to be a lot more rewarding than previous titles, which were mainly focused on good passing.The new playsystem feels very refreshing, the players and and the ball feel more like separate entities compared to previous titles, which adds to the realism.The game is now running on Unreal Engine 4, some of the stadium shots look really great, lightning in general seems improved in some scenes compared to the old Fox Engine titles.They also should NOT have released the teaser-video 1.5 years ago in that way. Let's start with the conclusion about "what went wrong here": Konami should either have delayed the release, OR label it as something like Demo/Preview/Beta, etc. Social networks were instantly flooded with screenshots of quirky 3D models and players with very wide open mouths. ![]() It quickly became infamous for various glitches and bugs and quickly became the worst reviewed Steam game of all time. I also have about 400 matches in PES mobile. I currently sit on a 12-win streak in eFootball, although that doesn't really say anything since ranks aren't implemented yet.
